New window

Most of us view the world through the windows of our career ("office") and hold that identity whereever we go. To your parents, your family, relatives, neighbour, as a passsenger, shopper - you always have one way or the other to express yourself as the career identity ("software engineer"). We often fail to put ourselves as what we are passionate about.
Come back to your home, view the world through the windows of your home ("family").  You will certainly see a shift in your attitude, more things to notice, improved awareness and more time for yourself. You will attain the elusive work life balance.
Create a separate identify for yourself ("a painter") and make your career life a secondary. Do not always measure your life with where the money comes from. Measure your life through where most of your energy flows towards ("passion").  This passion is your real self and defines you.
